Spill Kit
Under current legislation Hazardous Substance and New Organisms Act 1996 (HSNO) which is administered by Environmental Risk Management Agency (ERMA) it is the responsibility of all sites to have an appropriate response to a chemical discharge on their site.
Most minor spills can be dealt with by following the response information found the Safety Datasheets (SDS) or the older Material Safety Datasheets (MSDS).
Most sites will have Spill Kits containing appropriate resources such as PPE in order to begin the clean up task safely. This course will show you how to use al this equipment, but more importantly it will give you the understanding of the essential steps to follow in order to render the spill safe.
